01 / The Project

Not a wall. A Place. A river, a canyon, a town, and it's people. Over 1,954 miles.

Over six years, photographer Bob Rives made numerous trips along the U.S.-Mexico border, to document the people and landscapes of urban and rural areas, on the U.S. side.

La Frontera collects 70 photographs into a single hardcover edition, with an essay by reknown author Oscar Cásares. Publication and design by Keher Verlag, one of the world's leading publishers of photo books, based in Heidelberg, Germany.
